On October 23, 2023, the EPA proposed a ban on TCE (trichloroethylene), used in cleaning products, tire repair sealants, degreasers, etc., stating there are readily available, safer alternatives. TCE has been shown to cause cancer, neurotoxicity, and reproductive toxicity.
