Alison Divine brings fifteen years of legal experience to her practice, which focuses on representing individuals injured or killed as a result of wrongful conduct. Although civil litigation is her primary focus, during her career she has successfully represented claimants in FINRA securities arbitration, and served as an Enforcement Attorney for the State of Georgia’s Securities and Business Regulation Division. For two years she was a Public Interest Fellow at the University of Georgia School of Law where she developed a program to provide free legal counsel to those facing housing insecurity and worked with law students to assist clients with various housing issues.
After graduating from The Westminster Schools in Atlanta, Alison earned her Bachelors of Arts in English from the University of Georgia and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Georgia State University College of Law. During law school, she was a finalist in the GSU College of Law’s Research Writing and Advocacy Moot Court Competition. She was named a finalist in two consecutive American Bar Association State Mock Trial Competitions, and advanced to become a Semi-Finalist in the ABA Regional Competition. In her third year she was awarded a Litigation Externship with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia where she was sworn in to practice under O.C.G.A. § 15-18-22. She was elected Vice President of the GSU Mock Trial Team and President of the GSU Intellectual Property Law Society.
Alison feels it is her privilege as a lawyer to help bring forth ongoing and positive change by vigorously advocating on behalf of her clients. She is committed to the ideals of decency and fairness in her relationships with her adversaries and to the full and just administration of the law.
