Carolyn St. Clair, Of Counsel

Carolyn St. Clair, R.N., J.D., served as a registered nurse in operating rooms at the Texas Medical Center before beginning her legal career. After graduating from law school, she served the Texas Supreme Court as a briefing attorney and entered private practice, specializing in medical law, personal injury and wrongful death, product liability and class actions.

She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She received specialized education in international negotiation from Harvard Law School and arbitration and mediation. Carolyn St. Clair is listed in Who's Who In American Law, Who's Who in American Nursing, Who's Who in American Women.

She is the founder of the Texas Medical Legal Society and contributing author of Structuring Settlements, Nations, H., The ATLA (now American Association for Justice) Press (1987) and other legal articles. She is a Lifetime Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, American Association for Justice, Houston Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Bar Association, Association of Women Attorneys.

Her briefing attorney experience has served an essential role in litigating cases involving auto, boat, motorcycle and railroad crossing accidents, class actions, toxic torts, multi-district litigation, oil rig, construction and amusement park accidents, forklift roll-overs, all terrain vehicle rollovers, doctor, chiropractor, nurse, hospital and nursing homes, medical device failure, implants and pharmaceutical product defects, sexual assaults, battery, false imprisonments and suicides, denial of health insurance and social security benefits, mental incapacity, mental health commitments, guardianship and probate.
