The Internet gives the researcher access to MEDLINE, the National Library of Medicine's bibliographic database covering all fields of medicine and containing over 8.6 million records dating back to 1966. It is the most comprehensive medical resource available on the Internet. A doctor may be located using the American Medical Association's Physician Select Online Doctor Finder, or a researcher can visit the First Internet Medical Bookstore and purchase a medical treatise on a particular subject.
